LONDON, 4 March 2025 – Reed & Mackay, a global leader in corporate travel and event management, today announced a new partnership with Clarasight to provide customers with improved efficiency, cost savings and emissions-reduction capabilities. The integration of Reed & Mackay (R&M) data with Clarasight’s market-leading platform will enable both parties to deploy actionable insights for their shared clients.
Clarasight, a leading carbon planning and intelligence platform for business travel, provides some of the world’s leading companies with CO2 emissions reporting with purpose-built software that goes further by providing forecasting, planning, management and budgeting.
As part of the partnership, Reed & Mackay and Clarasight are launching a first-of-its-kind travel and emissions benchmarking solution. Business travel clients will be able to benchmark their travel (i.e. activity, spend and emissions) against their peers and industry. This functionality will provide both company-level and city-pair level benchmarking so organisations can use data to build and manage purposeful travel programmes that are smart, safe and sustainable.
“Many of our clients are focused on ways to drive emissions reduction further into their travel programmes. Simply tracking emissions is no longer enough – there needs to be coherent and achievable activity to back this up, and this is where the Clarasight platform can really add significant value,” said Reed & Mackay’s Global Sustainability Director, Chris Truss. “This is an exciting partnership because it allows us to leverage our existing CO2 data and reporting capabilities to provide a platform for our customers with access to highly strategic guidance for more enhanced, forward-looking sustainable travel programmes.”
Clarasight delivers real-time carbon planning and forecasting for businesses, empowering leaders to manage emissions with the same rigor as financial plans. Using data from multiple sources – sorted by travel purpose, travel mode, routes, etc. – Clarasight provides historical and predictive insights and recommended strategies for clients’ specific sustainability requirements for their business travel programmes.
As a key component of the partnership, Reed & Mackay and Clarasight will use their combined datasets to publish analyses and thought leadership pieces to the wider industry. The aim is to provide transparency, information and context to encourage dialogue and discussion, and to help drive change within the industry. The first of these analyses and thought leadership pieces is planned for release in early March 2025.
“Carbon emissions planning in business travel is no longer a ‘nice to have,’ it’s a strategic imperative,” said Clarasight’s CEO & Co-Founder, Adam Braun. “We’re thrilled to partner with Reed & Mackay to allow their global client base to embed data-driven forecasting, scenario modelling and carbon budgeting capabilities to efficiently manage emissions and meet regulatory requirements with purpose.”
